About the Awards

The Georgia Upstate Lakes Board of REALTORS® is fortunate to have many wonderful volunteers donating their time, energy and talent to make the association a successful organization. Each year, the Association takes the opportunity to recognize a few of these individuals with the following awards: REALTOR® of the Year, Business Partner of the Year, Most Transactions, New Face of the Year, President's Award, Volunteer of the Year.

Award Nominations

Nominations for the awards listed below are appreciated. Nomination forms can be downloaded using the Nomination Form on our Applications & Forms page. All nominations will be presented to the Awards Committee and must be in the Association office prior to their posted due date.

REALTOR® of the Year

The REALTOR® of the Year Award shall be presented to a REALTOR® member whose contributions to the Association, the real estate profession, and the community have been made through outstanding service, professionalism, and dedication. This award recognizes a member who has demonstrated REALTOR® spirit, upheld the principles of the Code of Ethics, promoted good real estate practices, and shown leadership through business accomplishments, civic involvement, and participation at the local, state, and national REALTOR® association levels. The nominee shall have established a standard of excellence that reflects positively on the REALTOR® organization, fellow members, clients, and the general public.

Business Partner of the Year

This award shall be presented to an active member of our board (individual and/or organization) whose contributions to our profession and community have been made through superior service.  It shall be limited to Business Partners (Affiliates) Members of Georgia Upstate Lakes Board of REALTORS®, past or present. This award shall be given to recognize individuals who have established a standard of excellence which has served GULBOR, the real estate profession, and the community.  The nominee shall have projected and promoted our profession to other REALTORS®, Business Partner (Affiliates), and especially the general public. 

New Face of the Year

The New Face of the Year Award recognizes a REALTOR® member who is new to both the real estate profession and the Association, and who best exemplifies the profession to the public. This award honors a newer member who has demonstrated professionalism, promise, and a positive representation of the REALTOR® organization and the real estate industry. Eligibility is limited to REALTOR® members who are new to the profession, meet the licensing timeframe established for the current award year, and have generated a minimum of $1,000,000 in sales during the applicable award year.

Volunteer of the Year

This award shall be present to an active member of our board (REALTOR® or Business Partner/Affiliate) whom is an all-around outstanding person; one who has contributed to their board, business, community, etc., and gone above and beyond their call of service.
