The August 2026 housing market across Franklin, Hart, and Stephens counties recorded $31.5 million in sales volume, with 89 homes sold. Compared to August 2025, sales volume decreased 9.5%, while closed sales declined 16.8%. The median sales price remained relatively steady at $299,999, up 0.3% year-over-year.
Inventory continued to build, with 481 active listings, up 17.0% from last year, giving buyers more options. New listings totaled 147, up 12.2% year-over-year, while 79 homes were put under contract, down 14.1% from August 2025. Month-over-month, sales volume, units sold, and homes under contract declined, while active listings increased 4.1%.
